By creating an account for ARCL ("ARCL," "we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use ARCL.
ARCL is a gamified career-development and job-preparation platform, launching with Software Engineering as the first career path and planning to add more over time. ARCL isn't limited to USC or any single school or region — our users may join from anywhere in the U.S. and potentially internationally.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ARCL. If you're under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian where required by your local law.
ARCL is currently in private beta. Features may change, break, be removed, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Data loss, downtime, and bugs are more likely during beta than in a stable release — don't treat ARCL as your sole record of your job search or application history.
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tryarcl.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You retain ownership of the resumes, cover letters, interview notes, portfolio material, application data, and other content you submit to ARCL ("User Content"). By submitting it, you grant ARCL a license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service — for example, generating simulation feedback, calculating XP, or displaying your shareable proof-of-work profile (accessible via direct link only, not searchable or publicly browsable) if you opt in.
ARCL uses AI to generate simulation scenarios, feedback, scores, and coaching suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It's provided for practice and self-improvement purposes only and should not be treated as guaranteed, professional, or definitive career, technical, or interview advice.
ARCL does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment, salary increases, or any other career outcome. Achievements within ARCL (levels, badges, "ARCL Verified SWE" status, or similar designations) reflect progress and performance within ARCL based on ARCL's own criteria — they are not externally accredited professional certifications and are not guaranteed to be recognized or weighted by any employer.
ARCL's beta is currently free. We may introduce paid tiers in the future (e.g. an ARCL Pro subscription, advanced simulation packs, or partnership programs for universities and student organizations). If we do, payment will be handled by a third-party payment processor, and separate billing, subscription, and refund terms will apply at that time and will be presented before you're charged.
ARCL's name, logo, Questor characters, simulation scenarios, quest content, and interface design are the property of ARCL or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without permission.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ARCL and the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. ARCL does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ARCL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or career opportunities, arising from your use of ARCL. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at hello@tryarcl.com first — most issues can be resolved informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law. An arbitration clause or class-action waiver is common at this stage but is jurisdiction-sensitive and should be added with an attorney's input rather than a generic template.
We may suspend or terminate your access to ARCL at any time, with or without notice, particularly in cases of abusive or fraudulent behavior. You may stop using ARCL and request account deletion at any time.
We may update these Terms periodically. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and continued use of ARCL after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
