These Terms of Use are between you and Arcl, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Arcl, Inc.," "we," "us," "our"), the company that operates ARCL ("ARCL," the "Services"). By creating an account for ARCL, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use ARCL.
ARCL is a gamified career-development and job-preparation platform for job seekers across roles and industries. Software Engineering is currently the first role with dedicated, deeper simulation practice and role-specific experiences. Our users may join from anywhere in the U.S. and potentially internationally.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ARCL. If you're under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian where required by your local law.
ARCL is currently in a pre-release stage and is preparing for private beta. Features may change, break, be removed, or be discontinued at any time without notice, and data loss, downtime, and bugs are more likely during this stage and during beta than in a stable release — don't treat ARCL as your sole record of your job search or application history.
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tryarcl.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate this section.
You retain ownership of the resumes, cover letters, interview notes, portfolio material, application data, and other content you submit to ARCL ("User Content"). By submitting it, you grant ARCL a license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service — for example, generating simulation feedback, calculating XP, or displaying your shareable proof-of-work profile (accessible via direct link only, not searchable or publicly browsable) if you opt in.
ARCL uses AI to generate simulation scenarios, feedback, scores, and coaching suggestions across the roles ARCL supports, with Software Engineering currently having the deepest simulation coverage. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It's provided for practice and self-improvement purposes only and should not be treated as guaranteed, professional, or definitive career, technical, or interview advice.
ARCL does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment, salary increases, or any other career outcome. Achievements within ARCL — including levels, XP, badges, and the ARCL SWE Readiness Milestone — reflect your progress and performance within ARCL, based on ARCL's own internal criteria. They are not externally accredited certifications, are not issued or endorsed by any third party, and are not guaranteed to be recognized or weighted by any employer.
ARCL may give you a personal referral code or link to share. A "qualifying referral" is a new signup that completes the waitlist (or, later, full account) process using your code or link, as validated by our systems. We may decline to count, or may remove credit already given for, referrals that appear duplicate, fraudulent, self-referred, or otherwise manipulated (for example, through automated signups or fake accounts).
Referrals earned during the waitlist or pre-release stage may count toward perks or rewards in a future version of the referral program, but no cash value or specific reward is owed or guaranteed based on your current referral count. Any future reward program will have its own eligibility rules, disclosed at that time. We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program, or change how referrals are counted or rewarded, at any time.
Joining the waitlist is free and requires no card. We currently plan to offer private beta access free of charge. We may introduce an optional paid tier in the future ("ARCL Pro") for job seekers generally. Features, limits, availability, pricing, and applicable billing, subscription, renewal, cancellation, and other payment terms will be disclosed before you purchase any paid service, with payment handled by a third-party payment processor.
ARCL's name, logo, Questor characters, simulation scenarios, quest content, and interface design are the property of Arcl, Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without permission.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ARCL and the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. ARCL does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ARCL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or career opportunities, arising from your use of ARCL.
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at hello@tryarcl.com first — most issues can be resolved informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to ARCL at any time, with or without notice, particularly in cases of abusive or fraudulent behavior. You may stop using ARCL and request account deletion at any time.
We may update these Terms periodically. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and continued use of ARCL after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
