ARCL ("ARCL") is a gamified career-development and job-preparation platform for job seekers across roles, operated by Arcl, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Arcl, Inc.," "we," "us," "our"). Software Engineering is currently the first role with dedicated, deeper simulation practice.
ARCL users may be located anywhere in the U.S. and potentially internationally. We may use information about your career stage, target role, goals, and preferences to personalize your experience.
We do not currently collect your last name at the waitlist stage.

We only collect what a feature you actually turn on needs — most of this list only applies once you use the corresponding part of the product. This list describes information that may be collected as ARCL's full product launches and as you opt into specific features — it is separate from, and broader than, the limited information collected at the current waitlist stage (Section 2).
We use your information to provide and improve ARCL — running the quest/XP system, tracking applications and your progress through guided experiences and milestones, generating simulation and interview feedback, personalizing your experience based on your career stage and goals, managing beta access, communicating product updates, maintaining security, and understanding how the product is used.

Relevant portions of your submitted information may be transmitted to third-party AI providers to generate requested outputs. Provider processing and retention practices may depend on the specific provider and the terms that apply to that provider. We do not sell submitted private content.
Your information is private by default. If you choose to create a shareable proof-of-work profile, it's accessible only to people you send the direct link to — it isn't searchable or publicly browsable — and may show selected information such as your username/name, level, badges, completed projects, and simulation performance.
Private information — your full application history, rejection details, saved recruiter contacts, private documents (resumes, cover letters, interview notes), and raw activity logs — does not automatically appear there. You control what, if anything, appears on your shareable profile.
ARCL currently uses, or plans to use, third-party providers including:
These providers process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services. We may change providers as ARCL grows; this policy is written to cover our use of reasonable service providers generally, rather than needing an update every time a vendor changes.
We store information for as long as your account is active, and as reasonably necessary to provide ARCL, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain security. If you delete your account, we'll delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it (e.g. legal or security reasons). Backups may retain deleted data for a limited additional period before being purged as part of routine backup cycles.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us (Section 17).
California/U.S. residents: depending on your state, you may have rights to know what personal information we've collected about you, to request correction or deletion of it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We'll respond to verified requests consistent with applicable law.
We use basic cookies and analytics tools — currently Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — to understand how people use ARCL and to keep you logged in. We don't use this data for third-party ad targeting.
Referral cookie. If you arrive at ARCL through a referral link (a URL containing a ref parameter tied to someone's individual referral code), we set a first-party cookie to remember which referral code brought you here, so we can attribute your signup to the person who referred you. This cookie is signed, httpOnly, uses a SameSite=Lax setting, is validated on our servers, lasts up to 30 days, and is not used for advertising or shared with third parties. It stores only a reference to the referral code and a timestamp.
ARCL may have users outside the United States. If you use ARCL from another country, your information will likely be processed and stored in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your home country. ARCL does not provide legal, tax, immigration, regulatory, or professional advice — you're responsible for understanding how your own visa, work-authorization, or immigration status affects your job search and any activity you log or complete on ARCL.
ARCL is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use ARCL where required by your local law.
We distinguish necessary product/beta-access communications from optional marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time; we may still need to send you essential account or security notices.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we'll notify affected users as required by applicable law.
Joining the waitlist is free and requires no card, and we do not collect payment information at the waitlist stage. We currently plan to offer private beta access free of charge. We may introduce an optional paid tier in the future ("ARCL Pro") for job seekers generally. Features, limits, availability, pricing, and applicable billing, subscription, renewal, cancellation, and other payment terms will be disclosed before you purchase any paid service, and payment information will be collected and processed by a third-party payment processor.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We'll update the effective date above whenever we do, and we'll flag material changes to users where appropriate.
